La Izquierda Records was launched as an extension of Galveston’s La Izquierda Fest, requiring a thoughtful social media strategy that could both introduce the label and strengthen its connection to the local music community. The objective was not only to announce the label, its mission, and its artists, but also to build excitement around the festival itself, creating anticipation leading up to the event and maintaining audience engagement throughout the weekend.
I developed a comprehensive social media plan centered around key content pillars, including community engagement, artist spotlights, festival promotion, record label storytelling, and broader conversations surrounding Galveston’s music scene. In addition to strategy development, I led content creation efforts, producing short-form video content that highlighted Robert Kuhn’s involvement in the local music community and explored the history and vision behind La Izquierda Records.
For La Izquierda Fest, I created promotional content designed to generate momentum before the event, showcase participating artists, and encourage community participation. During the festival, I captured and published real-time content with Aveo Creative, amplifying the energy of performances, highlighting attendee experiences, and extending the event’s reach beyond those physically present. I helped establish credibility for the new label while fostering excitement and engagement around one of Galveston’s most important music events.
